With cooler weather headed our way, this fall seas With cooler weather headed our way, this fall season is the perfect time to update your landscaping with new trees and shrubs. Trees and shrubs planted during the fall will also have a better chance to establish hardy root systems that will further equip them for the following summer’s heat and drought.
Cooler air temperatures during the fall gives freshly planted trees and shrubs a better chance to develop healthier root systems more rapidly than those planted in hotter months. While the overall outside temperature will be cooler, the ground and soil stay warmer longer than the air above, and warm soil also encourages root growth. As rainfall increases, new trees and shrubs will require less overall watering, meaning less hands on care as well! #fallplanting #parkviewnurserysd
